The Society A Variety of Adventure!
Formed in 1975, by our patron Richard Moore, as a re-enactment group portraying a company of the 95th Rifles, the society has evolved into one of the leading living history groups within the Napoleonic Association and Great Britain. It now encompasses the Royal Horse Artillery Troop as well as the Rifle Company, a living history encampment and many other supporting personalities. As a society of friends we strive to re-create the period as accurately as possible. Our military standards are high in honour of the men of the great regiments that we seek to portray, but our approach is open and welcoming to all, whether it is as occasional attendee or full time enthusiast. There are many roles within our society and everyone is encouraged and supported in the development of the roles they choose to portray. Our whole ethos is based on having fun and encouraging each other to get the maximum enjoyment from our hobby. You will join a historical society but very quickly find yourself a member of a family that makes room for all and has no barriers. Learn more about each part of our society below...

All of these roles are open to anyone as a primary focus or in addition to being a Rifleman or Gunner, as suits the individual (more...)
